The foundational call of Christians to charity is a frequent theme of the Gospels. During Lent, we are asked to focus more intently on “almsgiving,” which means donating money or goods to the poor and performing other acts of charity.
Annual Youth Ministry Recognition Ceremony
Held each year at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, this ceremony allows parishes and high schools to honor up to two teens and one adult for their outstanding contributions in service and ministry to either parish or school.
