News and Updates
For over two years I have worked with parishioners from the St. James Campus Redevelopment Committee and personnel from the Archdiocese of Newark on a campus redevelopment plan with the goal of finding the most beneficial use of the St. James school and convent properties. We are proud to announce that the contract of sale for the St. James school and convent property was signed by Fr. David, the Archdiocese, and the Buyer of the property!
The Buyer has asked us not to disclose their identity for the time being, however, we are able to say that the Buyer is a private school that serves children with learning differences. We can also say that the Buyer will keep the school building intact.
During this time of due diligence, township approvals, and the initiation of a major parish capital campaign, Fr. David will host two parish Town Hall sessions for parishioners to hear more about the plan for the sale of the property and the construction of a new parish center.
The first session will be on Sunday, February 16th after the 12pm Mass in the church.
The second session will be on Wednesday, February 19th at 7pm in the church.
Friends, please know how excited I am to present the plan to the parish. Thank you for your continued support and loving prayers!
Fr. David C. Santos, Pastor
