CONFIRMATION

When you have consecrated them, they shall be most sacred; whatever touches them shall be sacred – Exodus 31:29

Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism by a special outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which seal or confirm the baptized in unison with Christ and equip them for active participation in the worship and apostolic life of the Church.

Saint James the Apostle Parish celebrates the Sacrament of Confirmation with our ninth graders in the fall, after they have completed a preparation program including classroom instruction, prayer, study, service, and a retreat.

Any baptized adult Catholic who has not yet been confirmed is invited to participate in the RCIA process in preparation to receive the Sacrament of  Confirmation during the Easter season. Please call the parish office or Family Faith Formation Office for more information.

Confirmation Preparation

Confirmation preparation is a special time during your child’s faith journey.  We are excited to help you, their parent, on that journey.

This is a special time for our students as they come together to prepare to receive the sacrament.  We look forward to continuing to assist you in preparing your child for the sacrament, which they will receive early in the Fall of 2024.
