Pastors’ Message

Dear Brothers and Sisters of St. James,
As the lights of Christmas shine brightly upon our parish, my heart is filled with gratitude and hope for all that God is doing among us.
This holy season reminds us of the greatest gift ever given: that the Word became flesh and made His home among us. In the child born in Bethlehem, God chose to enter our human story, to walk with us, to redeem us, and to fill even our ordinary days with divine love. What wondrous joy this is! Because He became one of us, no family moment is too small, no tradition too simple, no gathering too ordinary to be touched by heaven.
At St. James, we see this same incarnational love alive in our life together: in the joy of children stirred by the magic of the season, in families passing on the faith around the table, in grandparents teaching little ones to light the Advent wreath, in friends becoming family through shared prayer and sacrificial love.
As we move forward with We Are His Witnesses, our upcoming Centered in Hope, Growing in Faith parish capital campaign, and the exciting redevelopment of our parish campus, let us carry this Christmas spirit with us. These are not just projects; they are acts of hope, ways of preparing room for the Lord who still comes to us today, in one another, in the Sacraments, and in the mission He entrusts to us.
May the peace of the Christ Child fill every home in our parish. May the joy of Christmas strengthen our families, renew our traditions, and inspire us to build a future where every person who walks through our doors knows they are loved by God and welcomed by His people.
From the parish family to yours: a very Merry and blessed Christmas, and a New Year radiant with the light of Christ!ple, the prayer that almost every Catholic wields – The Hail Mary.
