The Eucharist still appears to our senses as ordinary bread and wine; but it has been transubstantiated (or changed in its substance) into the body and blood of Christ.

At Saint James, we are truly blessed. We are a vibrant parish, not by accident but because generations before us believed deeply enough to sacrifice, to plan, and to trust God with the future of this parish. Today, it is our turn!

Today we rejoice in Christ’s victory over sin and death. May we live as Easter people—trusting that with Him, every Good Friday can lead to an Easter Sunday.

This Sunday’s Gospel reminds us that there is more than one kind of blindness. The man born blind receives physical sight—and his spiritual sight grows as he recognizes Jesus.
