MUSIC MINISTRY FUNDRAISER

We hope the music you hear at Mass each week enhances your spiritual devotion.

Whether you sing along or listen with a prayerful heart, you are invited to a relaxing family-friendly dinner.

Stage House Tavern ~ Route 22 East, Mountainside, NJ Tuesday, September 18th, 6:00-10:00pm

The Buffet Dinner includes: a garden salad, penne vodka, chicken piccata, and sausage and peppers

Each dinner also includes a drink choice of soda, coffee, wine, beer, or a mixed drink. (Full menu and cash bar is available to purchase additional food and drinks)

The price of $30.00 per person includes gratuity! Buffet for children 10 and younger is free!

Please RSVP to Matt Wilson before Sept. 5th: mwilson@saintjamesparish.org. Please see Matt after the conclusion of all Masses this weekend to secure your family’s tickets. All funds raised will go toward the replacement of exhausted music equipment.

In reparation for the healing of all those impacted by the abuse crisis, particularly the victims, and all of us that make up the Body of Christ. It is encouraged that all make this a day of fast and abstinence.

HELPING THE HUNGRY FOOD COLLECTION

Please donate non-perishable items to support the Morristown Community Soup Kitchen, Our Lady of Sorrow Soup Kitchen and other community food pantries.

Collection bins will be in the Gathering Area during the weekend of September 22 and 23. Some of the non-perishable items requested by these organizations include:

  • • Cans of hearty soup/chili/stew
  • • Low sugar cereal
  • • Individual packets of nuts and trail mix
  • • Canned tuna or chicken
  • • Granola and cereal bars
Please consider donating these items, or any non-perishable items that can help those in need. All of the collected items will be delivered to food pantries and soup kitchens during the week of September 23. Thank you for your continued generous support!

LIVING ROSARY

Friday, October 13th - St. James commemorated the final visit of Our Lady to the children of Fatima with a balloon launch! After launching the rosary balloon, we went in the church and we prayed the Rosary. There were over 150 people there. The Holy Spirit does work in mysterious ways.

Rosary Garden
The parish recently created a Rosary Garden near the entrance to the church. Fr. Joe blessed the Rosary Garden on Saturday August 19, 2017 at a special morning service. Click on the image to view the photos.
